Street Chic-Students and Designer Jay Godfrey
Hello, Halston!
So glad Halston is back, even if the vision is new and highly reflective of Marios Schwab’s aesthetics than that of the old house, it still works. Wearable, but still extremely special, I loved everything showed. These are my favorites. Is that Valentino Red?

Fashion week favorites…so far
LOVED all the leather and country chic at ADAM.

And everyone else is talking about Alexander Wang, but I love Helmut Lang.

Overall, I’m very excited about the abundance of leather and cowl neck scarves for Fall 2010.
Do you have any favorites so far?
Street Chic-A week of chic with Katie Deray
An inspiration to all her see her, we spent a week of chic following Miss Katie Deray!
Jean Heaven
I had to turn to the maternity jeans.
My favorite, go-to, dependable, always at least 3 pairs in my closet jean is the Anlo Ava, a high-waisted skinny. And when Anlo says high-waisted, they mean a 7 inch rise, which in the big picture, means normal rise…in other words, right at the belly button. So naturally, when these jeans became uncomfortable, I turned to Anlo for my maternity solution. And boy do I feel like I won a prize!

I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go back to normal denim again. Instead of the usual belly band on the top of maternity jeans, Anlo simply puts elastic in the pocket portion of the waist. They use a super-thin, super-stretchy denim, so I basically feel as if I am wearing the MOST COMFORTABLE leggings I own 24/7. My non-pregnant friends have been trying them on and I sense a little smudge of jealousy! One even asked me to order her a pair!
Kudos to Anlo for making maternity clothes comfortable, yet undetectable!

Everybody’s talking…
…about Lauren Moffatt’s Spring collection.
The women behind this line are just fantastic! Hip and real and always with an original take on fashion, I love chatting and working with the Moffatt team.
They continue to surprise & delight every season with fresh ideas and truly unique style (no trend-chasing here!).
Spring for Lauren is being praised for her mixing of prints & color pallettes within the same collection and still with total cohesion. This season’s lookbook was styled with Elle editor Kate Lanphear and with complete success. Funny that the theme was “accidental tourist” because after I saw the collection I immediately thought of being on vacay in Europe! I’d say that’s a goal well accomplished, Lauren.
The collection will be in-store at blonde. in February!

2 days in a row
I’ll admit it, I’ve worn the same sweater for 2 days in a row.
The first was over a Tucker dress, and then over a simple white tee with jeans and boots. This cardi from 3.1 Phillip Lim Resort is that great.

It has a slouch style without losing all structure. Perfect weight for layering all year long. And the bow closures add a little dab of darling. Love it.
